After seeing the houseful of shutters Marty installed in my sister's home, we hired Gulf Coast Shutters to install plantation shutters in 2 bedrooms and our dining room. Marty (the owner) could not have been more professional or easy to work with. His shutters are beautiful, high quality products that transformed the look of each room. We liked them so much that we contracted with Marty to install shutters in the rest of our house, including our glassed-in Florida room (2 long walls of floor to ceiling windows). It looks amazing - totally changed the look of our entire house. Mary is an excellent craftsman who takes pride in his work. I went on Google to search for plantation shutters, and Gulf Coast Shutter Company came up in the search, I gave them a call and a very polite man answered the telephone introducing himself as Marty, he asked me how can I help you and I told him I was purchasing a house here in Sarasota and would like to get an estimate on the shutters he sold, which I had done some research on the shutters and they were probably the best shutters I have ever seen. So he asked me when are you available, I told him I was only in town for a very short period of time 3 days to be exact. He indicated when would you like to get together I said you don’t work Sundays do you and he said I usually don’t but I will meet you at the house and show you my samples and give you and estimate. He explained the estimate to me and I felt very comfortable with him and the estimate, so I said go ahead with the order. He said no problem and I gave him a deposit. I closed on my new home and about 2 weeks later he installed my shutters with his son. I highly recommend Marty and his son you won't go wrong. Excellent work and very professional, and very nice people to do business with.

We are very pleased with our plantation shutters. Marty was extremely professional in our business dealings, did a great job with the installation however did not clean up the outside area where he sawed and sanded. My wife and I wanted plantation shutters in our new villa and received a few quotes. We decided to go with Gulf Coast Shutters because of their price and most importantly, quality. Some of the other company's shutters appeared more "flimsy" and not as solid as the allumacore brand. That was most important for us as we did our entire 3-door slider with sliding shutters, as well as 9 other windows.
